Perfect Balance Health offers an all-in-one pricing structure that is easy and affordable. Low prices and no insurance required. A monthly membership includes all standard labs, hormones, and unlimited consultation time with your medical provider that you need to achieve your health and wellness goals. Pricing is based on the number of hormones you are prescribed and starts as low as $149 a month. Our licensed professionals will spend as much time with you as you need to feel comfortable and understand your treatment plan.
Is a lab panel required to get started?
Yes, baseline panels are necessary to complete a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan. We look at your labs initially to determine what hormones are best for you. We then do labs periodically to track progress.
How often are lab panels required after starting?
Labs are drawn initially before a treatment plan is created and then every 3–6 months, depending on individual needs and outcomes.
How much do prescriptions cost?
The prescription membership starts at $149/month and includes standard labs, your hormone prescription, and consultations.
Do you accept health insurance?
Unfortunately, most insurance providers do not cover bioidentical hormones from compounding pharmacies due to certain restrictions. We do not bill insurance but can provide receipts for submission to your FSA or HSA.
How is my medication sent to me?
Hormones are shipped discreetly to your home, typically within 5–10 business days after your prescription is sent to the pharmacy.
How does billing work?
Recurring payments are made via credit card and processed automatically on the day the membership started. So, if your membership started on the 15th, recurring payments will be processed on the 15th of each month.
When will I be billed?
Recurring billing occurs automatically on the day the membership starts.
Can I use insurance to pay for my labs?
We accept HSA and FSA accounts. By not accepting traditional insurance, we are able to keep prices lower.
Do you offer a yearly membership or just monthly?
Yes, we offer monthly, 6-month, and yearly membership options. If you’d like to save on your plan, our longer memberships come with built-in discounts:

This is based on individual patient needs and medical necessity. We do not specialize in the treatment of hormones for the transgender community. For the safety of patients, anyone who has been diagnosed with the following may not be eligible for the program: breast cancer, ovarian cancer or womb (uterus) cancer, prostate cancer, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, or are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive. A provider will discuss your medical history and determine the risk and eligibility.

Bioidentical Hormones & Testosterone
Where are the prescriptions made?
At a high-quality compounding pharmacy that uses wild yam and personalizes every prescription.
How do bioidentical hormones work?
Bioidentical hormones are molecules synthesized by a compounding pharmacy to match the body’s natural hormones. These compounds are absorbed and recognized by the body as natural. Once in the bloodstream, they travel to target organs and bind to receptors on the surface of cells.
What does bioidentical mean?
It means the body recognizes the hormone as identical to the one it naturally produces.
What do compounded bioidentical hormones mean?
These are hormones custom-blended by a compounding pharmacy based on a clinician’s prescription and your personal needs.
Who benefits from bioidentical hormone replacement therapy?
Anyone experiencing perimenopause, menopause, or andropause. People who suffer from migraines, heavy menstrual cramps, insomnia, or painful intercourse may also benefit. We also support athletes aiming to achieve peak performance.
Does BHRT have interactions with other medications and supplements?
Our providers evaluate all medications and supplements to ensure your treatment plan is safe and effective. Occasionally, certain medications or supplements may reduce the effectiveness of hormone therapy. In such cases, we may recommend alternatives to be discussed with your primary care provider.
What prescriptions do you offer?
Prescriptions include estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid hormones, and peptides such as semaglutide/tirzepatide for weight loss and sermorelin for anti-aging.
Is bioidentical hormone replacement therapy approved by the FDA?
Compounding pharmacies in the U.S. are regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy and the FDA. They follow strict rules to ensure safety and drug quality. While compounded hormones are not technically FDA-approved, the ingredients used are pharmaceutical grade, and the facilities are FDA-registered. These medications are closely monitored and considered safe.
When should I start hormone or testosterone replacement therapy?
The ideal time to begin HRT is when hormone levels begin to decline. It is not necessary to wait for symptoms or related health issues such as weight gain, low libido, or osteoporosis to appear.
Does Perfect Balance Health prescribe BHRT to women on birth control?
Yes, though not for contraception. Birth control pills contain higher doses of estrogen and sometimes progesterone. However, some women may benefit from additional progesterone or testosterone to address specific health concerns.
Why doesn’t Perfect Balance Health prescribe pellets?
Pellets require minor surgical procedures, which we do not perform. As a general rule, we don’t believe pellets are the best route of administration for most patients.
How long can you stay on BHRT or TRT?
Indefinitely, as long as you are under the care of a licensed medical professional. Your health should be assessed regularly, as your treatment needs may change over time.
How do you know if your hormone levels are unbalanced?
Symptoms such as low energy, weight gain, low libido, and irregular periods are common indicators of hormone imbalance. Lab testing can also be used to diagnose menopause, andropause, or thyroid issues.
How do you know if you have low testosterone?
Common symptoms include fatigue, weakness, loss of muscle mass, changes in sexual function or desire, and weight gain. Testosterone levels should always be confirmed with bloodwork to rule out other potential causes.
What to expect from bioidentical hormone therapy?
Most or all symptoms typically improve—some may even resolve completely. The goal of HRT is to enhance your quality of life and may even contribute to greater longevity.
Weight Loss Program
Does BHRT help with weight loss?
Yes. Estrogen in women plays a key role in body fat distribution and metabolism. Testosterone in both men and women stimulates muscle development, and since muscle is more metabolically active than fat, increased muscle mass can help raise your metabolism.
Does Perfect Balance Health have nutrition coaching?
We always address nutrition when consulting patients for HRT, weight loss, and longevity. We also offer lifestyle and fitness coaches as part of your membership in the weight loss program, along with close monitoring of your progress.
Who is eligible for Semaglutide/Tirzepatide?
Most people wanting or needing to lose body fat may benefit from Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. We work closely with you to address all contributing factors, such as hormone imbalance, thyroid deficiency, and lifestyle choices as they relate to your weight concerns.
What is Semaglutide/Tirzepatide?
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are peptides that bind to receptor sites throughout the body, including the brain, stomach, intestines, and pancreas. They help decrease appetite by signaling certain hormones in the brain and create a feeling of satiety, or reduced hunger. Our goal is not only to help you lose weight, but to keep it off through a sustainable plan that includes exercise, proper nutrition, and hormone balance.
What can you expect from Semaglutide/Tirzepatide?
Most people can lose up to 20% of their body fat after approximately 3 to 6 months.
What are the side effects of Semaglutide/Tirzepatide?
Side effects are mostly gastrointestinal and may include loss of appetite, a sense of fullness or satiety, constipation, diarrhea, GERD, and bloating. Some people may also experience fatigue, though this is often due to inadequate nutrition or lack of exercise.
Is Semaglutide/Tirzepatide safe?
Yes. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are generally considered safe for adults and for children over age 12.
Does Semaglutide/Tirzepatide get rid of body fat?
Yes, although it’s important to consume enough protein and include strength training to avoid losing muscle mass while reducing fat.
Longevity Program
What is involved in the program?

Our Medical & Clinical Team
What kind of medical team do you have?
Our team consists of medical doctors, nurse practitioners, LCSWs, and lifestyle medicine coaches.
Meet your team here!
Are your providers licensed?
Yes, everyone on our team is a licensed professional.
What is the difference between a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner?
A nurse practitioner (NP) receives at least two more years of education and clinical experience beyond that of a registered nurse. NPs are trained to practice medicine and play a critical role in your healthcare team.
What is the difference between a nurse practitioner (NP) and a “regular” nurse?
A “regular” nurse may be a medical assistant (with about a year of post-high school education), a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN, with approximately two years of education), or a Registered Nurse (RN, with approximately 3–4 years of post-high school education).
InBody Scan
What is an InBody Scan?
An InBody Scan is a scale that measures % body fat, % lean body mass, and BMI, and assesses visceral fat. It is a great way to track how your hormones or weight loss drugs are working.
When should I get an InBody Scan?
We recommend you get one at the beginning of your program and then every 3 months. If you are not a member, you can have it done for $45 (includes a printout).
View Membership Options.
How much does it cost to have an InBody Scan?
It is included in your membership. Otherwise, it is $45 for non-members.

Insurance
Do you take insurance?
Traditional health insurance does not recognize patients’ quality of life as a medical condition. It is also limited in its ability to prevent or slow the onset of early chronic diseases such as osteopenia, prediabetes, weight gain, or low libido.
Our goal is to make hormone therapies accessible and affordable for everyone. As a Perfect Balance Health member, you get access to a variety of common hormone and wellness treatments—without the hassle of insurance.
- NO DEDUCTIBLE
- NO CO-PAY
- NO HIDDEN COSTS
- NO INSURANCE RESTRICTIONS
Do you accept insurance for labs?
No. We offer excellent pricing through Labcorp, and most medical insurance plans do not cover labs used to detect early signs of disease.
Does insurance cover bioidentical hormones?
Not as a rule, but there may be exceptions. Insurance companies typically do not cover bioidentical hormones from compounding pharmacies or over-the-counter medications due to specific restrictions.
Can an HSA or FSA card be used for payment to Perfect Balance Health?
Yes. We will provide you with a receipt to submit for reimbursement.
General Education
What is Hormonal Imbalance?
Hormonal imbalance refers to a disruption in the normal balance of hormones in your body. Common examples include perimenopause and menopause in women, and low testosterone in men.
If left untreated, hormonal imbalances can lead to more serious health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, cancer, and dementia.
Early intervention with HRT aims to prevent or slow the development of these chronic conditions and improve overall quality of life.
What is Progesterone?
Progesterone is a hormone primarily found in women. It helps regulate your menstrual cycle and balances the effects of estrogen in the body.
What is Estrogen?
Estrogen is a hormone predominantly found in women. It affects mood, sleep, and libido, and helps maintain bone density, weight, and healthy skin.
Do Progesterone and Estrogen work together?
Yes. These hormones work in tandem and are especially important in women’s health. Estrogen supports mood, sleep, libido, bone health, weight, and skin. Progesterone balances estrogen’s effects and regulates your menstrual cycle.
What is Perimenopause?
Perimenopause is the transitional phase before menopause when estrogen and progesterone levels fluctuate. Symptoms can include irregular periods, hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, and mood changes.
It can begin in the late 30s or early 40s and may last over a decade, though the average duration is about four years. Early treatment with HRT is recommended to improve quality of life and potentially prevent chronic disease.
Why are there multiple terms for Hormone Replacement Therapy?
You may see a variety of different terms (HRT, MHT, BHT/BHRT, TRT) used to describe hormone replacement therapy. This can be confusing, but while all of these terms are accurate, they have slightly distinct uses:
- HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy): A general term that applies to both men and women and includes non-sex hormones like thyroid replacement.
- MHT (Menopause Hormone Therapy): Refers specifically to hormone therapy for women going through perimenopause or menopause.
- BHT/BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Therapy / Replacement Therapy): Specific types of HRT using hormones that are bioidentical to those naturally produced by the body.
- TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy): Refers specifically to testosterone treatment, usually for men experiencing hormonal imbalance or andropause.
What is Menopause?
Menopause is defined as having no menstrual period for 12 consecutive months, with blood tests confirming low estrogen and progesterone levels, and elevated LH and FSH.
Symptoms are often similar to perimenopause but tend to be less erratic. Without treatment, symptoms can last an average of seven years. HRT can help manage symptoms, and there is no time limit on its use—though it should be monitored regularly for safety.
Do hormone levels change during the cycle?
Hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day and the menstrual cycle. For example, progesterone peaks in the morning, while FSH and LH typically peak in the afternoon.
What is the best time to have hormone testing?
Hormone testing is typically done during the luteal phase—on days 19, 20, or 21 of the menstrual cycle. This is the best time to measure estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels.
